About Me

About Myself

IN OMNIBUS OPERIBUS TUIS MEMORARE NOVISSIMA TUA ET IN AETERNUM NON PECCABIS

I am J. F. O'Neill.

It may seem strange that a person would give away hand built anything for nothing, but hopefully after contemplation of the Holy Mysteries, you will understand. How and why I started to learn how to make rosaries is a story I wish to share.

As a child, my mother whom I admired above any living person as a good Christian and person made rosaries. I have the rosary she made for me when I was child. In fact, I used it to help me make my first rosary, as I wasn't knowledgable about the structure of them because I didn't pray it.

She used to add a bead to a unfinished rosary every time she completed one. Each bead on this represented a rosary she has made. It is a multitude of colours and I can't remember how close it is to being finished. This is something I now do, and I see why she did it, as each rosary needs 59 beads, but they are often sold in 60s.

Well, I am an adult now, barely, I am 20 21 and I have continued my mother's rosary making skill.

I have seen people leave the faith who I thought could never leave, and people retain their faith after many trials. Now, the Parable of the Sower (Mark 4:1-20, Matthew 13:1-23, Luke 8:1-15) reminds me of what can happen to anyone. Faith doesn't require proof, and a lack of Faith doesn't need proof either, and can even go against what is known. The Thorns of this world are ever present. It is through constant prayer and the receiving of Graces from God do we make it.

The Holy Rosary is a powerful prayer. It not only makes use of spoken prayer, but mental prayer. Its Mysteries that we meditate on strengthen our Faith. The Power of the Holy Rosary is found in the writings of many all over the world thoughout time.

If you are confused by the Rosary, specifically, devotion to Mary, I recommend you find time to read True Devotion to Mary by Saint Louis De Monfort. It is a wonderful book which will show you that devotion to Mary is not worshipping anyone other than God, and how it doesn't subtract from God. You may be able to find some of the texts of this book by searching online.

If you ask me for a rosary, I will give it.

In closing, I ask you to dedicate one decade of the Rosary to my family on the Rosary I would send.
